Patricia Scopinich is a mosaic artist based in Calabasas.

She enjoys collecting elements from her beach walks to use in her mosaic pieces. She recreates some of her favorite beach scenes into mosaic paintings.

I grew up in San Diego and as a child I was always fascinated with the treasures I found on the beach. I enjoyed collecting seashells, rocks, and driftwood, and what started as a simple collection of beach finds evolved to making mobiles, mirrors, frames, cards and jewelry. My intrigue with color and texture has brought me to making mosaics and mosaic frames. In the last year and half I started delving into making mosaic pictorial scenes of beaches I love like Westward, Leo Carillo and Santa Barbara beaches. I love creating colorful works of art with the many treasures I have collected over the years and it is my passion and pleasure to share them with you.

Mosaic artist Patricia Scopinich has been creating mosaics for the last twenty years. She splits her time between her administrative job in the Science Division at Pepperdine University and creative time in her home studio in Calabasas. Patricia’s inspired fine art mosaics are represented in private homes and local art shows. Patricia studied art history at UC Santa Barbara and assisted in managing two Los Angeles art galleries. Her mosaic work is vibrant, festive, and uplifting.
